Listed below are all the races that inhabit Ion, you may choose your character to be any of these, even a mixed blood. When making your character please keep in mind how their race looks, acts, lives, thinks and about the culture and climate as well. Take everything into aspect when picking a race.
LAMORA
Territorial Setting: Lamora is settled in the heart of an icy, unforgiving and barren landscape past the Dividor Mountains to the north. It's harsh climate is only dulled with the fact it can be unbelievably beautiful at times, with its crystalline snow that blankets everything, including the ancient stone work buildings, the Lamorian people call home.
Architecture the Lamorians is very regal in the sense of how old the stonework buildings are. Stone color ranges from the soot covered charcoal to the sun bleached white of the castle. Many windows spot stained glass, telling of the old legends or portraits of their deities.
The People: The people of Lamora are a refined, and beautiful people in their looks. They usually are of pale complexion, slender build and dark brown to black hair and dark brown eyes, though they have been Lamorians with lighter colored eyes. They are also of average height and weight. There is however an exception with the royal family who carry the gene of red and blonde hair. Other then the royal family it is very rare that a Lamorian other than of royal bloodline will have blonde or red hair.
The Lamorians are a people who value the mind above other things, they are very knowledgeable people, taking great pride in knowing the traditions and most of the history of their culture, education plays a large part into everyone's daily life, starting when a Lamorian child turns five years of age. Even some of the commoners know how to read simple words and sign their names. Apart from learning the basics of mathematics, astrology and literature, passing on the old traditions and legends is also important to Lamorians. Lamorian value family and multi-generations like most in Ion and are monogamous.
Importing/Exporting of Goods & Specialties: Lamora having the majority of its soil being tundra has to import the majority of their supply of fruits and vegetables imported from across the sea. Prices on these goods are often very expensive and are often considered delicacies for the majority of the population.
The major export of Lamora is extremely high-end quality of quivers, bows and other archery accessories. The availability of flexible saplings in the area fuel the sales profit to large quantities. Intricate leather tooling and bead work are hand crafted piece by piece, ensuring the highest quality product for trade.
Also, they used to export a great number of cold blooded, draft type horses. But with the immediate need for transportation between battles and mounts for the knights, this export has been stopped, hurting a bit of the countries income.
Military: The specialty of the Lamorian military is archery in every style including longbow, mounted archery, and the smaller on the ground, in hand shooting bows. Their skills can outmatch any challenger, and bring great pride to the country they defend proudly. Battle strategies have been passed on from generation to generation, nothing changing or being reworked due to their success in the heat of battle. But they also use swords, shields, as well as spears.
Religion: The Lamorians worship two main deities:
The Goddess Runnori, of the Moon and Ice. Runnori rules the movement of the moon, the arrival of winter storms and the movement of the river Ryum.
Priesthood: Runnori is worshiped mainly by priestesses, because it is believed women have a stronger connection to the moon then men, although there are some male priests, but very rarely. There are two High Priestesses equal in rank and duties who perform the monthly Full Moon rituals. They are called 'mothers' by the common priestesses, and only the two of them are allowed to call each other 'sister'. Once they are elected, they renounce all ties of kinship, even an existing marriage, and become geared to Runnori only.
The priestesses themselves are allowed to marry and often their female children serve Runnori as well, whilst the male children turn to Morris.
Cult: There is one house of worship in Lamora's main city, called the Nivis Temple, a wondrous building all in white marble stone so it is almost invisible in winter and when the sun is up it is blinding to look it. Everyone can go there to pray at any time of the day, even at night. If you request something from the Goddess it's custom to buy little pieces of moonstone and place them before her altar, while asking the favour. Removing such a moonstone without authorization will result in severe punishment.
On Full moon evenings the whole assembly of priestesses and consorts come together at a special site down at the Ryum River to worship Runnori who is believed to show her face in the moon. When there is a snow storm on such an evening it is believed to be a sacred night. After calling on Runnori the priestess with the highest aptitude in archery shoots and arrow up into the sky to reach Runnori's face, which is considered a great honor.
New moon evenings are believed to be dangerous nights, when Runnori turns away from their children, so most people don't go out on such a night, staying at home or praying dearly for safety if leaving the house is inevitable. The myth has it that at the end of time the moon will vanish for all eternity, which makes the Lamorians feel a bit queasy every time there is a lunar eclipse.
Traditions & Behaviors: On the Eve of Midwinter and Mid Summer, they thrown a large festival full of dancing and festive music. They celebrate the turn of a new season, and it's customary to wear white clothing with a red sash.
Also, no King has ever claimed the thrown but has been constantly ruled by a Queen. Every matter has been inspected, discussed and either approved or disapproved by the Queen herself.

Importing/Exporting of Goods & Specialties: Before the war between Lamora and Mar'vol, Zallia used to be the capital trading post in importing and exporting goods from all three countries, profiting from the gain of selling cold blooded war horses from Lamora to Mar'vol or swords to Lamora, while adding in their items of fruit, native animals such a parrots, hot blooded horses, and silk cloth.
